Certificate awarded to Boo Kok Chuon for successful completion of the Chartered Valuer & Appraiser Programme and conferment of the Associate Chartered Valuer and Appraiser designation

Singapore, 8 July 2026 – Iconomy Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Boo Kok Chuon successfully completed the Chartered Valuer & Appraiser Programme and was conferred the professional designation of Associate Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (ACVA).

The Chartered Valuer & Appraiser Programme is developed by the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS) in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Successful completion of the programme results in the conferment of the ACVA designation, with holders entitled to use the post-nominal ACVA.

The programme provides structured professional training in business valuation, including the analytical, ethical and professional foundations required to assess businesses, assets and economic interests in circumstances where value cannot be determined simply by reference to accounting figures or historical transaction prices.

Mr Boo’s conferment as an Associate Chartered Valuer and Appraiser forms part of his broader professional development across law, economics, finance, governance and valuation.

For Iconomy Consulting Group, valuation increasingly intersects with several areas of advisory work. Corporate restructuring, shareholder arrangements, investment decisions, transactions, disputes and strategic planning frequently require an understanding not merely of what a business or asset has historically cost, but of the economic assumptions underlying its present and future value.

Valuation therefore sits naturally alongside Iconomy’s existing work in corporate strategy and governance. Decisions concerning capital allocation, ownership structures, commercial risk and business sustainability often depend upon judgments about future cash flows, risk, competitive position and the durability of economic advantage.

The designation also complements Mr Boo’s legal studies and dispute-resolution training. In commercial disputes, valuation questions may arise in relation to businesses, shares, contractual interests, economic loss and other financial claims, requiring legal and financial analysis to operate together rather than in separate silos.

This multidisciplinary perspective has increasingly shaped Iconomy Consulting Group’s approach to advisory work. Rather than treating law, finance, governance and valuation as isolated professional disciplines, the Group seeks to understand how each contributes to the broader commercial and institutional problem faced by a client.

The ACVA designation also represents an intermediate professional milestone within the IVAS certification pathway. ACVA holders who subsequently satisfy the relevant valuation experience requirements may apply for the full Chartered Valuer & Appraiser (CVA) designation.

For Mr Boo, the conferment of the ACVA designation represents another step in developing an integrated capability across governance, law, strategy and valuation.
